CONF-CDS 2022 is now cooperating with Engineering Reports to publish a special issue as a significate record of selected conference papers. Engineering Reports is an International Gold Open Access, peer-reviewed journal that launched in 2019, dedicated to all aspects of engineering and computer science. It has been indexed in relevant database including EI Compendex, DOAJ, INSPEC and ESCI. Qualified submissions will be recommended to Engineering Reports to publish in the special issue. CONF-CDS Editing Committee will contact the authors to discuss about the details.

With the development of technology, especially the prosperity of the smartphone, Internet, and sensor network, human activities are creating a larger and larger amount of data. Besides structured data, texts, sound, images, videos, and other unstructured data collected by various means have also proposed higher requirements on data storage and processing. Vast and disparate data require researchers to extract data features and serve multiple applications with the help of advanced computing technologies, such as machine learning.
In view of the great need and potential of computing and data science, this special issue focuses on data collection, transfer, storage, and processing. It calls for original scientific and technical contributions. The topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
Besides recommending qualified conference papers, the Special Issue also accepts direct paper submission. Submission to SI should also be sent to submission@confcds.org with a clear statement to distinguish itself from conference submissions. The paper should be within the scope of Engineering Reports and should follow the manuscript requirements. Manuscripts submitted to the Special Issue are expected to have a clear, generic, and readable layout, and should include all relevant sections such as an abstract, a brief introduction, conclusions, and references.
